1009 (2019)
Another old university project. This from 2019 and we were free to create an audiovisual product. I chose a simple animation as a music video for a beat for a local beatproducer by the name of Slim. My goal was to mix 3D and 2D animations and try out rotoscoping and cel shading. All of those techniques can be found in the clip. The scenery was inspired by recent visits to Paris and the surrounding arrondisments.
Software used: Cinema 4D, Substance Painter, Octane, Photoshop, After Effects
3D scene. Modeled in C4d with Substance Painter Materials and rendered in Octane. Due to a stable camera an minor looping elements I rendered a single loop with 12 fps with different light passes, to work with in comp.
Handpainted and rotoscoped elements.
